2013 AREAEB President’s Message

It does not take much to see that the global economy and financial market has been in a downward trend since 2007. With the weakening of the U.S. dollar, the EURO crisis promoting a bear market, and unemployment rates at an all time high, it is evident that the real estate market has taken a subsequent hit.
“When one door closes, another one opens.” It is unfortunate that the average population focuses on the closed door, rather than exploring the new opportunities that arise within the situation. The plunging real estate market is typically viewed in negative light. However, if we look at this from an opposing standpoint, it is apparent that these market lows has attracted international buyers and investors. International clients can range from new EB5 immigrants, high tech transfers or simply foreign nationals. These new interests will in turn help promote a positive growth and improve conditions in our market, and subsequently support the international lending industry.

The Asian Real Estate Association of the East Bay (AREAEB) will put special focus in this coming year on international real estate by providing a series of educational seminars to help introduce the concept and developing opportunities for international clients.

AREAEB supports real estate professionals and communities in the East Bay via various networking opportunities in educational seminars and mixers. From thefirst time homebuyers, to the wealthiest investors from all regions, AREAEB’s professional infrastructure is ready to provide the necessary tools and resources to support the real estate professional.
