G. Scott Haislet, is a California attorney, CPA and a qualified intermediary for 1031 exchanges. He practices in the areas of taxation, wills, trusts, estate planning, real estate, business, IRS audit representation, and 1031 exchanges. Mr. Haislet writes and lectures frequently, and has authored continuing education courses for tax professionals. Mr. Haislet teaches two different 8-hour California CPA Education Foundation courses — one covering 1031 exchanges and one covering real estate taxation issues. He is a member of the State Bar of California, the United States Tax Court Bar, the Contra Costa County Bar Association (past Tax Section Chairman), the American Institute and the California Society of CPAs. In a former life, he was a sports writer, covering Major League Baseball, the National Football League, the National Basketball Association, the National Hockey League, the PGA, NCAA football and basketball.
